Into the Morning Light of the Camargue, is photo #897, one of the first of my horse series in Camargue. It was taken on a crisp, almost cold early Spring morning. Just as the sun crept over the horizon and shared its soft morning light with the world. My senses were aroused by a soft rumbling on the earthy soil. As the sound became clearer, my mind could make out a calculated, layered and deliberate purposeful gallop of a herd. As seconds passed on, and as the fanfare ensued, I could feel my whole body reverberate with joyful anticipation -- at the speed of a wave about to break upon the shore, there in front of me, appearing like a mirage, the herd materialized in all of its splendor!
This image was my inspiration for Into The Morning Light of the Camargue. A large scale painting on display as part of the permanent collection of The Salamander Resort and Spa in Middleburg, Virginia. An unveiling ceremony will take place on Wednesday November 15th, 5-7PM. All are welcome.
